NR Sports
& TV Reviews Rule
It's
a first. Six of the Top 10 most read stories were from the previous
month, in this case November. That Top 10 edition was headlined NR Sports
& TV Reviews Rule. It also took a lighthearted look at the take on the
US presidential race and Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey's portrayal
of the Republican Party's Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
Our Sports Notes article EPL MADNESS - CHELSEA'S ON TOP
BUT WHAT THE HULL took the number one spot based on it being a pure
column and not a Top 10 chart. In doing so it also qualified as being
our fastest riser.
That column touched on several principals who were involved
in the English Premiere League race at that time. Harry Redknap made
his mark by turning around the fortunes of the Tottenham Hotspurs. Hull
City is making an impressive showing by surprising the soccer world
by being in the top six of the EPL.
If that column had a zinger or a flash point it would
be the following: As the Beatles sang, ''Money can't buy you love,'
and former (Man City) owner and Thailand's fugitive former prime minister
Thaksin Shinawatra sold the club for a profit but is now a man
without a country after England revoked his visa. He can't return to
the country where he put his money down and bought into and out of the
Premiere League within a year.
In the process Man City has gone from the Golden Boys
of the league when they obtained Robinho and were off to a fast start.
The wheels came off during the Thaksin calamity and they are currently
in the bottom half of the table.
Sports Notes took five of the Top 10 spots (2-3-4-6 &
10) with our television reviews in our Video Beat columns taking three
positions (5-7 & 8). Our Phnom Penh column coverage of the Water Festival
took the final spot at number nine.
The top section visited was our BIZ WHO IS section which
we admittedly have been neglecting. Given the interest on the subject
we will pump it up and get on with it. In checking the charts amazingly
our column on CNN talk show host
Larry King continues to be the number one personality
visited in that section. That piece was published in June 2007.
The other big surprise was the attention our NBA
MAX section is receiving. The stories in that section are from our
Inside the NBA columns published in the early 90's which are written
in the French language.
The oldest story to rock the charts is 10 years old that
being NBA or Bust which is my experience
with a former NBA player Keith Kloss and my demonstration of filling
up the hole with hook shots at the Venice Beach basketball court in
Venice Beach, California. Did I hear a YO!!!
In
closing National Radio wishes all a HAPPY

JULY, 2008
The
Cristiano Ronaldo saga goes on and on and on - Yes Ronaldo was
very talented player when he joined Man U but it was Sir Alex
Ferguson who refined his raw skills and honed them into his being
one of the greatest players in the world. If it's respect and
appreciation you're looking for at this point IT IS ABSENT - With
his Brazilian roots and being an integral member of the Scolari
managed 2002 World Cup winning team you would think that Ronaldinho
would be highly sought after by his former Brazilian national
team manager Luiz Felipe Scolari' to join him at Chelsea. ESPN
Sports reports have noted that Ronaldinho has said, "Come and
get me," yet Scolari has made no attempt to do so .....

burning coals of information the flaming cinders are the NBA referee

contestants. This leap up the NR charts is unprecedented and much
more may come from this sizzling column. - TATA

How
hypocritical can the statement be, 'The Beautiful Game'? We're
talking football here as well as the games lack of ethics. It's
a game which is supposed to influence youth around the world to
fair play and sportsmanship. Football is a game that has gone
out of control with teams raiding each other for their players
at any price while disregarding ethics.
